Our table
One fire, one room, one long table.
Cinder is a kitchen built around its hearth. You sit close enough to hear it.
Our table
Bring the fire to the room.
You sit close enough to hear it. Move the light, and the room comes up around you.

An open hearth on Wythe Avenue, and one long table set in front of it.
Fourteen seats, cooked for all at once, served in courses, from five until the fire is done.

The kitchen
Cooked by hand, by the fire.
A small kitchen, an open hearth, and a cook who has not left it.
Everything on the fire is watched, turned and pulled by hand. That is the whole method, and the reason the table is small.
The room seats fourteen because that is how many the kitchen can cook for well. We would rather cook for fourteen than serve a hundred.
